Yagashala – Where Sacred Fire Meets Divine Intention

" Annad bhavanti bhutani, parjanyad anna-sambhavah, yajnad bhavati parjanyo, yajnah karma-samudbhavah."

"All living beings are sustained by food, which is born of rain. Rain is the result of Yajnas, and Yajnas arise from selfless actions."

In India’s spiritual heritage, the Yajna (sacred fire ritual) has always held a place of deep reverence. At Sree Matha Trust’s Yagashala, we preserve and practice the age-old tradition of performing homas (Vedic fire offerings) for the welfare of individuals, families, and society.

What is a Yajna or Homa?

A Homa (also called Homam or Havan) is a fire ritual performed by offering grains, herbs, ghee, and other sacred items into a consecrated fire while chanting Vedic mantras. The fire is not just symbolic—it is considered a divine witness and a purifier.

The tradition of Yajna goes beyond religion—it connects nature, human consciousness, and cosmic balance. Fire becomes the medium through which prayers are carried to the Divine.

Why We Perform Yajnas at Sree Matha Trust

At Sree Matha Trust, every homam is more than a ritual—it's an act of devotion, healing, and service. We perform Yajnas with the names (Gotras) of our donors and well-wishers to invoke blessings for health, prosperity, peace, and spiritual progress.

Some of the key Homas performed include:

  • Ganapati Homam – For obstacle removal and auspicious beginnings
  • Rudra Homam – For health, protection, and peace
  • Chandi Homam – For victory, courage, and divine energy
  • Navagraha Homam – To balance planetary influences
  • Surya Namaskaras with Aruna Parayanam – A spiritual offering to the Sun God
